LPC Men’s Retreat

Men's Retreat 2017

October 19 – 21, 2018

Men of all ages are welcome to join us as we learn about how God works in our daily lives. We hope to encourage men to grow in their faith and relationships as we learn from others who are doing the very same thing.

Each year, we look forward to having our faith deepened, hearts strengthened, and minds transformed as we fellowship with other men. Our retreat takes place up at beautiful Lake Arrowhead. We have homes reserved, close by one another and near the Lake.

Guest Speaker: Rev. Lance Allen, Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church, Santa Ana

Lance Allen has been the Senior Pastor of FPCSA since 2000. He grew up in Los Gatos, CA before attending Westmont College, UC Irvine and Princeton Theological Seminary. He is presently pursuing his doctorate. He has two children, loves music of all kinds, the beach, the mountains, movies and the Lakers.

A Snapshot of the Weekend
We meet for dinner on Friday night at the main house. Following dinner we gather for a discussion led by our guest speaker. Saturday morning after breakfast, we meet for worship and discussion. Free time is Saturday afternoon. After dinner at the Lake Arrowhead village, there is a time of worship and discussion at the “Main House” with the guest speaker. Sunday morning we start with breakfast and conclude with Communion. Then back to your house to clean up and pack. You are on your own for lunch on the way back to Laguna Beach.

Activities available during our Saturday afternoon free time include mountain activities: hiking, walking in the village, biking, reading, napping, a game of cards, various field games on the nearby grassy knoll, and fishing (supply your own bike and fishing gear).

Registration is $165 and includes: Shared room for two nights, two breakfasts, one lunch and one dinner, as well as all retreat materials. You will need extra cash for one dinner out and for travel expenses.
