Our Sunday school program provides a safe and caring environment where your child will feel welcome, learn about God and experience His love. Our goal is to partner with parents in leading our children into a relationship with Jesus Christ that is life changing. Using the Gospel Light curriculum, we provide age-appropriate, biblically related dramas, songs, and activities that bring God’s story alive.
Each week we provide a parent handout called “Fridge Fun” so you can continue the conversation at home.
Head over to The FAQ’s Page for more information on what children learn at each grade or for information on baptism, communion or confirmation.
What is our Sunday school like for your child or children?
Exciting! Children spend time in a traditional classroom setting as well as experience fun high-energy large group gatherings in Tankersley Hall. No matter where they are, students are introduced to “Big Idea’s” from the Old and New Testament stories. Bible verse memorization is encouraged and students pray for each other and their leaders. We cover all the major stories of the Old and New Testament by the time a child has graduated from Sunday school.
At least once a month children preK-5th grade are invited to worship with their parents for the beginning of the service after which they are excused to Sunday school. We have found students enjoy the different experiences and have made new friends of all ages!
And that’s not all. Be sure to check out all the events and parent programs that happen throughout the year. We learn, have fun, laugh and create community.
