Sunday School – DECEMBER
On December 9, 16, 23 and 30 we will meet for Large Group Sunday School in Tankersley Hall, where parents may drop their children before and pick them up after worship.
On December 16 those children who are participating in the children’s Christmas musical on December 23 are asked to remain after worship for a dress rehearsal from 11AM to 1PM.
On December 23 the children will be presenting the Christmas message during both worship services, 8:30 and 10AM. All children will begin the morning in the worship service and then be excused to Sunday School after the Children’s Musical portion of the service is complete.
Children’s Christmas Musical rehearsals are happening every Sunday morning in the music room from 9:20 – 10AM. Children will practice every Sunday from October 21 – December 16 and will be a part of both morning worship services on December 23. Children are invited to participate with a singing, speaking, or acting part.
All families are invited to Christmas Eve services at Laguna Presbyterian on Monday, December 24 at 2, 4, 7 or 9PM. The 2PM and 4PM services are geared to children who will be invited to experience “Bethlehem Village,” where they will enjoy experiencing activities and learning various facts about life during the time of Jesus. Teachers are dressed in period clothes and marketplace booths are set up. Children take part in weaving, spice preparation, games and crafts, tablet writing, and much more. Come experience the joy of the season this Christmas Eve.
Our curriculum from Group Publishing is called DIG IN!
In Sunday School we are DIGGING IN to the Bible. Digging into the Bible takes kids on a whirlwind journey from Genesis to Revelation. Kids experience a relationship with God through the eyes of ordinary Bible people. Kids will discover that they’re a lot like the people God has always loved and worked through.
Each week your child will receive a take home page about the lesson. This will have ideas for you and the family to continue to DIGIN@HOME.
Each DIG IN lesson contains…
– Creatively lead your child to Biblical depths.
– Make learning fun with technology, experiments and games.
– Apply to their lives today.
– Anchor your child in a lasting and transformative faith.
Classrooms and Nursery are located in our Preschool Building, also known as the Christian Education Building.
If you are unfamiliar with the campus of LPC, ask for Maggie Craig or Gail Onodera on Sunday morning. Don’t hesitate to ask for help from a member of LPC; they can point you in the right direction to our Preschool.
