LPC Book Talk is a quarterly afternoon book discussion. Some of the books we choose to read are not “Christian books” – but we find that they raise many challenging “faith” questions. Both men and women are invited and we have found that this lends to very challenging and deep discussions! Book Talks are held in the Youth Center located directly below the sanctuary. The main entrance is off the Rose Garden on Second Avenue.
4pm, Tuesday, February 4 – Youth Center
by Louise Penny
Join us to discuss this book, which is #13 in the popular Chief Inspector Gamache series. Canadian author Louise Penny brings to life the Village of Three Pines and the eccentric villagers who struggle with their own consciences when a mysterious figure appears in their community. It will leave you wondering if there is a ‘higher court’ of conscience that is above the law.
As a special feature during this Book Talk meeting there will be a “baguette taste off” in honor of the character Jacqueline, who can’t master the art of baking a baguette.
Read the book, join the discussion, and bring your discerning taste buds to the February meeting.
