Women join in fellowship as we support one another in our spiritual journeys. We seek to build community in which women feel welcome, enjoy friendships, and are encouraged in their relationship with Christ.

There is a place for you in the LPC community.

WOMEN’S RETREAT, Annually in March

Our annual retreat is an opportunity to treat yourself to a weekend away with other women, with yourself, and with God. Each March we offer a weekend in a nurturing environment of peace and beauty. The weekend includes many opportunities for personal and spiritual growth, as well as fellowship and fun with other women.

Tuesdays, 9:15AM and Wednesdays, 7AM

This Bible study is led by our pastors. Everyone is welcome all the time.

COMFORT KNITTERS, 1st Friday / Monthly

This is a wonderful way to combine your faith with knitting. Knitters of all skill levels meet in a local home on the 1st Friday of each month to work on squares to be combined into an afghan for those suffering an illness or recent loss. Shawls enfold, give solace, shelter, and beautify. Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed. We are happy to teach anyone to knit!

GALS, 2nd Sunday Evening / Monthly

GALS is a caring and fun community for widows of all ages. We meet on the second Sunday evening of every month for dinner, conversation, and support.

For dates/locations contact the Church Office.

Tuesdays, 12:30PM, Tankersley Hall

Once a quilting group, we now sew dresses and shorts for children in Africa. We have sent over 1,000 of these simple garments around the world. Join us each Tuesday from 12:30 – 3PM in Tankersley Hall, or pick up a kit to make garments at home. Beginners are welcome!

For more information, contact Diane Cullings.

MOMS’ BIBLE STUDY, September to June

Fridays, 10:00 – 11:30AM, Brides’ Room

MOMS’ is a weekly Bible study designed to nurture women towards a clearer understanding of their faith and to develop friendships that allow for an open and honest discussion of the issues we face as mothers. Moms with school age children are encouraged to join us. Bring a friend; drop-ins are welcome!

For additional information, contact Caroline Millson.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) / MOPPETS

Thursdays, 9:15 – 11:15AM, Tankersley Hall

Our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers and older) group is a special place where you can meet other mothers also passing through this unique stage of life. MOPS is for moms who are pregnant or adopting and moms with newborns to elementary age.

You’ll have a chance not only to make new friends, but also to discover a wealth of helpful hints and smarter strategies when dealing with the challenges of motherhood. Our program offers a morning of food, fun, creative activities, guest speakers on relevant topics such as parenting, relationships, marriage, and more!
